Magnolia Panther football returns this week. After a 2-week quarantine with online schooling due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Magnolia Public Schools, most of the football players returned to in-person classes Monday. Coach Mark King said 6 or 7 varsity starters who tested positive are still out, but most of the rest of the team have returned to practice. The Panthers play at home Friday against Camden Fairview. The game will be broadcast live on Magnolia’s Country 99.1, online at MagnoliaRadio.com and on the Magnolia Radio app; Pre-game begins at 6:15 with kickoff at 7:00. Livestream is also available, with a link at magnoliaradio.com.
The Magnolia Junior High football game this week has been cancelled. The junior high teams began their quarantine a few days later than the varsity, so they aren’t expected back in class until Wednesday.
Monday’s Lady Panther volleyball match has also been cancelled.
