RUSTON, La. (KNOE) – The Ruston Police Department arrested a 20-year-old driver after one person was killed and another injured in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 19. Police responded to a pedestrian-involved crash on the I-20 South Service Road just after 2 a.m. on Saturday. Responding officers said they found Jackson Mitcham, 21, and Hahn Bridges, 20, lying in the road and a Nissan Altima stopped in the left lane. The driver of the Altima was identified as Abby Sterling, 20, of Shreveport. Deputy Chief Chad Hamlin said Mitcham and Bridges were taken to Northern Louisiana Medical Center. Mitcham was taken to a hospital in Shreveport where he later died.
